Nepal

Update 1: First Impressions

Nepalteam

Greetings from the Nepal Lighthouse 2015 trip! This year our team is made up of fourteen students and two Taylor faculty/staff members. We are anticipating another meaningful trip this year as we continue in our partnership with Tiny Hands International (http://tinyhandsinternational.org/). We will be joining this ministry in their mission to reach out and serve children, in particularly those who have been victims of the sex trafficking, in Pokhara, Naranghat, and Kathmandu through their network of homes for children. We are excited to join in the work being done in this country and to learn about the human rights issues that are prominent there.

As a team for our trip we have decided to orient ourselves around the passage 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” We thank you for your prayers and support for us in this work over January.
